The basic skills program was divided into two groups each having an Extrication.Com instructor, here one of the groups pose for a group photo after the evolution was over.
Here a Sawzall is used in conjunction with the hydraulic tools. Students learned the value of utilizing the best tool for the job and not relaying on one particular tool to do everything.



Students are setting up composite light weight mechanical struts, ratchet straps are used to pull the base in, causing tension within the system. When all four struts are in place, the vehicle could not be moved.

The fun is over, and DPW director who is also a member of the department uses the front end loader to make fast work of the clean up. Many thanks for having us in Rhinelander WI and a special things to all of the worker behind the scenes like here that setup and cleaned up the drill yard after hours.
It is amazing the determination and dedication the the our brothers in the volunteer/call departments display. Hours of dedicated hard work and often have to put their lives on the line with out compensation.
